We're prequalified for Bispeengen in Copenhagen
We’re excited to be leading a team prequalified for the competition to reimagine the future of Bispeengen.
We’re excited to be leading a team prequalified for the competition to reimagine the future of Bispeengen. Alongside team partners EFFEKT, Colliers, GPA, Rambøll, RMC, and We Do Democracy, our vision is to transform a divisive piece of urban infrastructure into a new community green space.
The Bispeengen elevated expressway that separates Frederiksberg and Norrebro stands out in the Copenhagen’s’s bike-centric infrastructure. Built as a motorist’s gateway to the city in the 1970s, the project no longer holds the same appeal and utility that it once did. The project today will explore how we can transform the site into a more livable and sustainable solution for the residents of Copenhagen.
In 2019, Henning Larsen led a workshop at the C40 World Mayors Summit in Copenhagen that asked representatives, citizen stakeholders, designers, and business leaders to imagine urban futures without cars, using Bispeengen as a local case study. Learn more about the event via the related links below.
