More than 250 guests attended the opening event to celebrate this new beginning. We hosted conversations on creating collaborative, hybrid working environments using new spatial concepts and natural materials. Panelists included Professor Dr. Katja Thoring, Chair of Integrated Product Design, Technical University of Munich, Professor Mark Nicholas Phillips, Coburg University, and Angelika Donhauser, Head of Interior Design, Henning Larsen.
It has been over a decade since we first opened our Munich studio, following the successful completion of our first project in the city: Siemens’ global headquarters. Since then, our presence in Germany has grown to include studios in Hamburg and Berlin.
“It’s encouraging to see how our presence in Munich has grown since our first project in 2011, which originally brought Henning Larsen to the city. With this office opening, we want to show us in a new way, as an important player on the German market regarding sustainable design in architecture, landscape architecture and interior design” says Werner Frosch, Managing Director of Henning Larsen Germany
Aligning with our ambition to add value for both our employees and company, our new collaborative work environment features an open-plan workspace, a large flexible cafeteria and common space, as well as abundant terrace space. The interior design reflects our commitment to innovative design solutions with materials like linoleum flooring produced without petroleum additives, carpets made from marine plastic and the tabletops made from recycled textiles. Wooden furniture and ceilings are made from discarded European maritime pine bark.
"Our aim was to create an environment for healthy, inspiring work, a spatial concept for social interaction, exchange and encounters,"

Head of Interior Design
In recognition of the workspace design, Ramboll and Henning Larsen have been shortlisted for the prestigious Callwey Verlag’s ‘Best Workplace 2025’ award, acknowledging innovative and intelligent working environments. The final winner will be announced in March 2025.
