Our Head of Sustainability wins Rising Star Award in America

Head of Sustainability in New York City, Kritika spearheads international initiatives that bridge the public and private sectors, influencing both policy and practice.

Notable achievements include leading the ‘KlimaKover’ project prioritizing climate justice, securing $149,000 in funding, and partnering with the Trust for Governors Island to pilot urban cooling solutions. She has also worked with major universities like Harvard and Rice University to integrate occupant behavior guidelines into student residential developments.

Her work spans diverse urban projects, including the Downsview Framework Plan in Toronto and the Faelledby development in Copenhagen, where she continues to champion design strategies that consider both people and the planet.

When asked about her hopes for the future, Kritika replied, “I harbor hope for an architecture that eschews narcissism in favor of collaboration, openness, encouragement, and inclusivity. Architecture that is more collaborative, more open, more encouraging, and transcends all boundaries.”

Julie Cacace, Project Scientist at Ramboll was highly commended in the Rising Star category, and Ramboll was  recognized in the Digitial Innovation and Nature Positive categories at the Sustainability Delivery Awards.
