'Assemble for Impact' at Singapore Design Week
Is collaboration the answer to a low-carbon future? Join us during Singapore Design Week to ‘Assemble for Impact’ and explore circularity and nature-driven design’s potential in reducing Singapore’s carbon footprint.
From 15–20 September at our studio on Amoy Street, we are hosting an exhibition and workshop featuring contributions from local collaborators. Together, the exhibits explore the island nation's environmental challenges.
Singapore has long been a “Nation by Design.” From public housing to healthcare, the city-state has turned deliberate design choices into solutions that improve everyday life while addressing complex urban and environmental challenges.
Visitors can explore design strategies like disassembly, circular construction, and nature-inclusive approaches, alongside innovative materials including homegrown and recycled products.
The exhibition will include:
- Magorium - local start up transforming plastic waste into material for road construction
- Roger&Sons - second-generation woodworking studio reimagining craft through modern techniques
- WASTD - design studio turning discarded resources into culturally grounded objects
- Singapore Green Building Council - a member-led, non-profit industry organisation advancing built environment sustainability across the Singapore building and construction value chain
- Ramboll - global consultancy advancing circular solutions in architecture and engineering
- Superstructure - design-to-fabrication consultancy specializing in computational design and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), bridging ambitious design concepts with real-world construction
Taking place at 100 Amoy Street in Singapore, the exhibition is open to everyone, and the workshop is available for signup for a small fee.
