Henning Larsen's New York office is seeking a Project Architect with deep design documentation experience, including enclosure detailing expertise, consultant coordination, and execution. This role is intended for licensed architects with 10+ years of relevant professional experience who demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in all phases of design and strong leadership and mentorship capability.
Your key responsibilities may include:
Design Production + Delivery
- Oversee design and document implementation to meet project goals and compliance requirements
- Develop compliant design solutions aligned with project requirements
- Manage / delegate sheet set to ensure comprehensive project documentation
- Generate DD/CD-level façade details and models that meet code, performance, and constructability requirements
- Provide code leadership across the project
- BIM point person (or liaison) for design team and coordinates BIM standards / execution plan where required
- Select and develop primary building materials appropriate to the design intent and performance requirements
- Construction administration through comprehensive submittal / RFI reviews, field reports, walkthroughs / punchlisting as required
Technical Leadership
- Lead project delivery for complex projects under the guidance of the project leadership, with a focus on façade integration, technical execution, and drawing production.
- Manage team deliverable execution
- Provide mentorship and hands-on guidance in façade modeling, detailing, and documentation standards to full project team, actively upskilling the team’s technical capabilities.
- Lead consultant coordination (including agendas and minutes), communicating key decisions across disciplines
- Sustainability ambassador / point-person, responsible for coordinating that sustainability goals are considered in the day-to-day design process
- Manage open actions list with focus on consultant coordination items
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum
- Licensed Architect
- Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from a NAAB accredited school
- Strong technical proficiency with demonstrated code knowledge and complex façade documentation expertise, accompanied by acute design sensibility
- Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members in façade modeling, detailing, and technical development, with demonstrated impact on team growth.
- Experience leading consultant coordination and managing project teams
- Proficiency in Revit required; experience with Rhino, Adobe CS, and other digital design workflows preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with project leadership in a multidisciplinary international team
- Effective time management, and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Available to work full-time in person in New York, NY
- Fluent in English

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
