What do you enjoy most about working at Henning Larsen?

I enjoy the creative culture at Henning Larsen where architecture and design transcend mere functionality. It’s exciting and invigorating to work at a studio where innovation thrives and where we strive to create spaces that shape experiences and influence lives.

What motivates you in your work?

I’m motivated and inspired by being part of a broader community of designers with diverse backgrounds and expertise further underscoring our impact and elevating our value proposition. This recognition signals a pivotal shift, amplifying the importance of architectural contributions in shaping and enriching the spaces we inhabit.

Sandviken is located on the waterfront of Bergen, between listed traditional wooden houses and the newly renovated Slaktehus facility. The design draws its inspiration from these traditional buildings that are very characteristic of the area. Hundven Clements, 2014

Which projects are you particularly proud of?

I am particularly proud of the Sandviken Seafront project, an expansive residential and commercial complex in Bergen, renowned for its seamless integration with the sea and its distinctive indigenous architectural style. I was responsible for guiding a design team from concept to delivery of Sandviken Seafront which is recognized as a flagship project in Bergen municipality's architecture strategy.

Looking back on your time with Henning Larsen, how have you grown in your role and developed your skills?

Over the years, I’ve been able to oversee the comprehensive development and execution of projects to realize visions and objectives. This responsibility has not only honed my leadership skills but it has expanded my understanding of project management and stakeholder coordination. In my role, I’ve been able to refine my abilities in strategic planning and problem-solving. This hands-on experience broadens my professional expertise and equips me with the agility to navigate diverse challenges, fostering continuous growth and advancement in my career journey.
