In the new day care centre, Elverhøj in Bernts Have, energy efficiency has been integrated in the design from the very beginning. The climate zone inside the building does not only reduce the consumption of energy – it also provides new possibilities for playing.
The Energy Task Force of Henning Larsen Architects has put environmental savings on the internal agenda. Through a number of initiatives the project aims to conserve electricity thereby contributing to a general reduction of the overall CO2 emission.
Sustainability is a fundamental design parameter.
