With its crystal structure and vibrant facade, the building constitutes a significant landmark in the campus area. The open Science Square is placed at a central location encircled by the laboratories, teaching facilities and formal and informal meeting spaces. From the workstations on the open balconies, the students have a view of the research activities of the building and the large, central space encourages informal meetings, friendships and the exchange of research results.
