In order to adapt the area to human scale, the area surrounding the large halls have been scaled down just as the lower floor is made more open in several places to achieve a better connection with the open outdoor spaces. The new buildings will have their own character and a shape that will help to scale down each individual building.
Focus has been on encouraging social community. Therefore, the urban plan comprises a variety of open spaces.
Water offers special experiences, which is why water has been incorporated into the area in a variety of ways – either as small pools or as large the large water steps south of the media school. To the north, water is used as the main identity-creating element of the new area with a focus on sports activities and recreational areas.
