Mette Kynne Frandsen

Mette Kynne Frandsen has been part of the management team at Henning Larsen Architects since 1998 and was appointed CEO with responsibility for the operational and financial development of the company in 2003. Thus, Mette is behind the development of an organisation that has doubled its number of employees in recent years and today occupies people from a number of different professional fields.

Mette has focus on strengthening the company internationally by expanding its international network of clients and partners. Today, Henning Larsen Architects has subsidiaries in Saudi Arabia and Spain and offices in Munich and Beirut. The company is working on projects in approx. 20 countries and employs staff of more than 10 different nationalities.

Mette's sound competence in managing a creative and innovative company working on a global scale has positioned Henning Larsen Architects as a leading architecture company. Mette Kynne Frandsen holds a number of significant positions of trust - including the positions of chairwoman of the Governmental Marketing Panel of Denmark and deputy chairwoman of the boards of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Trade Council of Denmark.

Experience

Experience

As an architect, Mette has built management experience through numerous competitions and projects. From 1993-2003, she was responsible project manager for several large projects from competition to completed building, including Roskilde University Library and Nordea Headquarters in Copenhagen. Through her work as an architect, Mette has gained extensive experience with development processes that transform creativity into value.

Mette Kynne Frandsen has developed the architecture company's new role as a driving force in the concept and idea development and financing of projects. An example is the public-private partnership project Harpa - Reykjavik Concert and Conference Centre in Iceland. For this project, Henning Larsen Architects formed part of an interdisciplinary team solving all consultancy, financial and operational tasks in relation to the project.
