Louis Becker

Louis Becker is Principal and Partner at Henning Larsen Architects. He has been part of the management team since 1998 and is responsible for the company's activities on the global market. He has been one of the driving forces behind a number of large Danish and international projects - from significant building icons to complex masterplans. In addition, he has been project manager for numerous projects in Denmark, Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, the US, China, Syria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In 2008, Louis was appointed Adjunct Professor at the Department of Architecture and Design at Aalborg University and in 2011, he received the Eckersberg Medal by the Academic Council, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, as a recognition of his valuable achievements of putting Danish architecture on the world map.

Experience

Louis' broad international experience includes cultural, administrative and commercial buildings as well as masterplans. He has been responsible for a number of architectural competition entries as well as architectural and managerial follow-up on the subsequent detailed design phases. He is the driving force behind complex architectural and decision-making processes with multiple stakeholders.

Owing to his profound experience with modern sustainable building both at a conceptual level and in more detail, Louis is an internationally acclaimed speaker and lecturer. He regularly gives lectures on sustainable architecture and the incorporation of culture in design processes. In addition, he has been a jury member in several international competitions just as he is a member of several steering committees and advisory boards.
