Henning Larsen Architects has won the competition for a new office building for Energinet.dk in Ballerup. The new 4,000 m2 office is located in a business area opposite the headquarters of the pharmaceutical company NeuroSearch – also designed by Henning Larsen Architects.
Sustainability is a key aspect of the building and together with Dahl Entreprise, HaCaFrø Engineers and Schul Landscape Architects, Henning Larsen Architects has designed a modern office building with a total annual energy consumption below 47,7 kWh/m2. “We have optimised the energy efficiency of the building with the simple philosophy of focusing on overall energy reduction”, explains architect Anders Sælan, Henning Larsen Architects.
The building meets the requirements for low-energy class 1 according to Danish building regulations and is an attractive and welcoming office building with an ample inflow of daylight and an attractive location. In the future, the approximately 100 employees of Energinet.dk will be able to share knowledge and inspiration in the open office spaces and large, bright atrium on the first floor.
