Henning Larsen Architects’ proposal is a formation of smaller building units rising like a small clustered city from the hill side with individual tilted roofs forming the skyline. The museum will be built in phases and the smaller unit approach allows the museum to grow over time as the program matures.
After a prequalification process of 40 invited architectural companies the list was cut down to five, among these Heneghan Peng Architects, Ireland, Edward Cullinan Architects, England, Moriyama & Teshima, Canada and Consolidated Consultants, Jordan.
