Henning Larsen Architects’ masterplan King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh is the biggest green development project wordwide and one of the first sustainable development plans in the Middle Eastern region. Thus, Principal of Henning Larsen Middle East, partner and architect Jacob Kurek is often invited as a keynote speaker at international conferences in the region.
The KAFD masterplan was the main subject of Jacob Kurek’s recent presentation at the conference Sustainable Design Days in Jeddah hosted by the American Institute of Architects with the objective of kick starting its activities in Saudi Arabia.
In November, Jacob Kurek will once again share his knowledge of sustainable master planning at the conference Social Infrastructure KSA, which puts focus on the development of sustainable social infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. Finally, the masterplan is a main point at the coming CityScape conference in Riyadh in December.
