Some of the most recognised competencies in integrated energy design will participate in the conference, SimAUD - Simulation for Architecture and Urban Design – among these Marilyne Andersen (Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design) and Christoph Reinhart (Harvard University).The conference will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, on 4-7 April 2011.
Jakob Strømann-Andersen has been invited to speak at the conference on the basis of his article on daylight simulations and comfort analyses in the built environment. Together with Peter Andreas Sattrup, PhD at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Jakob has conducted a methodical and conceptual study of simulations in the interface between architecture and engineering.
The article features interviews with leading international architects and engineers, key theories on the effects of sustainability as well as a number of simulation experiments carried out by the writers of the article.
