The new museum building will provide the setting for new and engaging exhibitions focusing on man and ‘the good story’. The exhibitions will feature new artistic effects and offer room for insight, self-realisation, thoughtfulness and discussion. In addition, the new building will exhibit archaeological and anthropological research projects from Aarhus University.
Henning Larsen Architects won the competition for the new building in 2005 in collaboration with landscape architect Kristine Jensen.
The new building is expected to open to the audience in 2014.
