Campus Roskilde consolidates the five professional bachelor’s programmes of University College Sealand in one location with facilities for all: A multi sports hall, ‘science zone’ and theatre stage for the student teachers, a physiological test room for the physiotherapists and a Friday bar for everyone!
The four square campus buildings are displaced from each other creating a common, intimate space in the front square and in the green wedges between the buildings.
To the south, the tile facade of the buildings protects the users from noise and direct sunlight. To the north, the large open glass facades ensure that the users get the most out of the daylight.
When completed, Campus Roskilde will stand out as a prime example of an energy-efficient design in low-energy class 1 according to Danish building regulations – solely achieved by means of the spatial layout of the building.
Campus Roskilde will be ready for inauguration in 2012.
