The new research centre will comprise world-class research and education facilities. Covering 6,800 m2 the new building will feature high quality laboratory and teaching facilities with the objective is to develop new knowledge on plants and plantgenerated food in relation to climate change and the threatening reduction of biodiversity. Furthermore, the competition will include the preparation of an overall masterplan for the campus area.
In addition to Henning Larsen Architects, the teams prequalified for the competition are Cubo Architects, Witraz Architects, COBE Architects, Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects, Christensen &Co and Stanton Williams Limited. The team of Henning Larsen Architects also includes Sweco Architects and the engineering companies Henrik Larsen Rådgivende Ingeniørfirma and Midtconsult.
The winner of the competition will be announced in March 2011.
