Georgian award for Batumi Aquarium

Designed by Henning Larsen Architects the Batumi Aquarium composes four self-supporting exhibition areas where each of the four stones represents a unique marine biotype. The project is inspired by the characteristic pebbles of the Batumi beach, shaped by the wash of the waves through millennia. The building remarkably stands out as an iconic rock formation visible from both land and sea.

The Georgian award is presented by a professional panel selecting the best projects realized or planned within the last years. The panel gives an unbiased evaluation of the level of modern architecture and new trends of developing in this sphere. The awarded projects will be published in STYLE Magazine.
