At a festive reception with wine and cool jazz in the office, employees and guests celebrated Troels’ many years as an architect.
Henning Larsen was among the speakers at the reception and he praised his long-standing colleague and collaboration partner. Troels started at Henning Larsen Architects in 1965 as a student assistant – only six years after Henning Larsen had founded the company.
During the years, Troels has put his fingerprint on a number of significant company projects, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen and, most recently, Moesgård Museum, which is expected to be ready for inauguration in 2013.
In addition to his brilliant architectural talent, Troels is a gifted analyst who likes establishing connections between the history of architecture, the development of Henning Larsen Architects and the expressions and concepts of the different times.
Troels enjoys a high degree of respect in architectural circles and, in 2007, he received the Eckersberg Medal of the Academic Council under the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Up until his 65th birthday in 2007, Troels was a partner in Henning Larsen Architects.
