The invited members of the panel included the architect, represented by project manager Ósbjørn Jacobsen and Partner Peer Teglgaard Jeppesen from Henning Larsen Architects, and the artist Olafur Eliasson, who has contributed to the building's spectacular facades. The last panel member was Pétur J. Eiríksson, chairman of the project group Portus.
In connection with the opening on 4 May 2011, the Concert Hall will have an opening concert with musical entertainment performed by some of the country’s best artists. The building will feature first-class acoustics supplied by the American acoustics, Artec Consulting. In addition, Henning Larsen Architects has collaborated with the local architecture company Batteríid and the engineering companies Rambøll, local Hnit hf and ArtEngineering GmbH.
