Henning Larsen Architects is part of a consortium consisting of the architectural companies Friis & Moltke and TKT, the engineering companies Rambøll and COWI as well as a number of sub-consultants. In 2011, it will be decided which of the six consortiums that will proceed to the final stage.
The Regional Council of Southern Denmark places significant demands on the project, including a high degree of sustainability, and the building is expected to be the spearhead of an entirely new way of developing and organising hospitals. The hospital will be located close to the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.
The first sod will be cut in 2012 and the building is expected to be completed in 2018.
