Henning Larsen Architects designed the southern facade in collaboration with the artist Olafur Eliasson. The unique glazing of the columnar, three-dimensional steel sections will refract differently depending on the inflow of daylight and the time of day or year. The building will appear in a variety of expressions, playfully interacting with its surroundings.
It is expected that all facades will be completed in the autumn. The building as a whole will be ready for use in the summer 2011 and is expected to become a significant cultural landmark for the country.
