Plan C is part of Gate 21, which is a partnership between seven municipalities west of Copenhagen, the City of Copenhagen as well as a number of companies and research institutes. The partnership provides the participating companies with the opportunity to develop, test, demonstrate and eventually commercialise new technologies, concepts and processes in the fields of climate, energy and the environment. The participating municipalities function as very large laboratories and provide the necessary space for demonstration projects.
Henning Larsen Architects is a partner in Gate 21 and manages the Plan C project, which is the largest sub-project and has focus on renovation concepts and elements.
