Project Management

We believe that the collaboration with clients and other stakeholder should be based on a responsive approach to user requests and experiences but likewise on a constant attention to the time frame and financial framework of each project.

Process Management

Process Management

HLA_Process_01.jpgAs process managers, we ensure that the right stakeholders and views are brought into play. The team begins the process with an open and informal discussion where all ideas are considered and everyone is heard. The process manager is in charge of driving the process forward and, through a continuous qualification of the presented ideas, finding the solutions that most clearly convey the underlying vision of the project

We support this way of working through start-up meetings (kick-offs) and continuous evaluations (time-outs) with relevant partners. Kick-off meetings have both a professional and a social objective while the aim of time-out meetings is to maintain and develop the focus and dynamics of the project.

The initial phases in a process can seem chaotic due to their recurring interpretations, reassessments and adjustments. Therefore, it is crucial that the client, sparring partners and possible user groups get the opportunity to analyse new proposals and solutions and are open to changes.

Design Management

Design Management

At the beginning of a project, we appoint an experienced design manager who is in charge of the project throughout the process. The essential task of the project manager is to ensure the quality, communication, progress and financial aspects of the project.

In order to ensure a successful process and the continuous flow of decisions, we apply a number of tools to manage the various elements such as time, financial aspects and risks. Each phase is ended by a joint adaptation of expectations and a pre-approval from the client.

After the design phase, the project is handed over to the operating companies (the building manager and craftsmen). At the formal handover, the project is evaluated to ensure that all parties understand the material in full and that the material is sufficient. However, the design manager remains a central person in the follow-up and supervision phase ensuring the progress and continual quality of the project.

Construction Management

Construction Management

As construction managers, we emphasise the importance of providing the best possible conditions for the realisation of the project - both in relation to the planning, follow-up, change management and progress and with regard to ensuring the safety and health of everyone working at the site. The construction manager is introduced to the project as early as in the detailed design phase where the client, design manager and the construction manager plan the building period.

The construction manager ensures a close dialogue between the operating companies and the designers ensuring the necessary follow-up from the team of consultants in case of changes or unexpected problems.

The process towards completion is defined in collaboration with the contractor and the operating parties and will always serve as an indicator in relation to time schedules and financial management. The company's construction managers have many years of experience in contracting and submission of projects and have the competences to assist a client or contractor in all types of projects.
