Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Whether dealing with a building project, consultancy, a development project or a masterplan we act as sparring partners in close interaction with innovative, strategic partners and project stakeholders.

To ensure a high value of the interdisciplinary collaboration our work is led by a process or design manager who coordinates the work of the project team at all levels and ensures a smooth process as well as sufficient interdisciplinary communication and interaction.

Professional Diversity and Mutual Goals

Professional Diversity and Mutual Goals

Process_Research.jpgWe believe that the best way for a project to develop is through a dynamic process where the different competences and frames of experience challenge, inspire and supplement each other. Therefore, we always put together the best possible team of professional experts from the beginning to achieve the necessary understanding of the specific project or problem.

The composition of a team's competences varies according to the challenges and goals of the project. In addition to our traditional collaborating partners such as engineers, contractors, landscape architects and building consultants, we also collaborate with artists, sociologists, energy consultants, economists, ideologists and researchers.

At the moment, we employ three PhD students from the Technical University of Denmark. The collaboration is supported by Realdania and its objective is to develop and optimise our knowledge of sustainability and integrated energy design.

The PhD students are conducting research on and developing a number of new design tools to support Integrated Energy Design (IED) in the building industry.

World Class Value Creation

On an international scale, our close collaboration with local consultants is an invaluable aspect of our understanding of the local context, rules and regulations, including construction and social regulations. Our international collaboration inspires us and we are part of close strategic partnerships with architectural and engineering companies, landscape architects and planners as well as individual consultants who we engage for our local project office or as integrated colleagues in the company.

On several projects, we work closely together with artists on the design itself, e.g. on the Reykjavik Concert & Congress Centre project where we have designed the facade of the concert hall together with the artist, Olafur Eliasson, and the engineering company, Rambøll.

We attach great value to the close and long-standing collaborations that we have with some of the most skilled professional specialists all over the world. They all contribute to realising our projects, developing our qualifications and making us better at what we do.

Internal Cross-Pollination

Interdisciplinarity and collaboration are essential aspects of everything that we do.

The company experiences globalisation and interdisciplinary collaboration from within. Currently, we employ 12 different nationalities who all contribute with their individual experience and different cultural views on their field.

We also have a strong tradition for company employees moving around in the office - in project groups carefully put together according to the employees' experience and core competences in relation to the individual project. In this way, we ensure that our experience from previous projects is applied on new projects and developed by means of a professional dialogue where the various professional competences broaden and inspire one another.
